MICRO AND MACRO pHOTOGRAPHY
As a professional photographer, I specialize in capturing the beauty of the micro and macro worlds. Using a Zeiss Axioskop 2 microscope, a Nikon Z7ii camera, and an array of macro lenses, I document the the micro and macro world around us. I’m always exploring new techniques—filters, viewpoints, focus stacking, lighting, and object preparation—to enhance details and colors, whether for a scientifically accurate image or an artistic interpretation.
pRESENTATIONS
My presentation skills have been honed through years of experience as a stage performer and appearances in commercials. From delivering informative talks during my university years to my time at Micropia, Amsterdam’s microbiological museum, I’ve developed a diverse set of presentation skills to keep you captivated, entertained, and, most importantly, informed about the microworld.

As a skilled micro and macro videographer, I specialize in capturing the hidden beauty of both invisible microscopic and visible macro worlds. I create stunning visual narratives that reveal intricate patterns and movements often overlooked by the naked eye. The way crystals form, microbes move, and the incredible details of the macro world fascinate me every time. Through my work, I aim to bring this beauty to the screen in a truthful or artistic, yet always captivating and informative, way.
cUlTURING MICROORGANISMS
As a microbiologist, I possess extensive experience in culturing microorganisms in a laboratory or in the comfort of my own home. Culturing microorganisms involves providing them with a suitable environment—nutrients, temperature, pH, and oxygen levels—that mimics their natural habitat. This allows them to thrive and multiply, forming visible colonies or populations that can be documented.
rESEARCH
As a biologist studying at the Free University of Amsterdam and the University of Groningen, I am experienced in conducting scientific research. To be honest i research just about anything, from the food that i, my cat or my cultured microbes eat, my workouts, how to have a more sustainable lifestyle, how to build a website, which vacuum cleaner to buy. You name it, i research it.
pHOTO AND VIDEO EDITING
I am proficient in programs such as Photoshop, Lightroom, Zerene Stacker, and Premiere Pro. With each edit, I strive to craft compelling visual narratives and intriguing images. Whether it’s enhancing colors, adjusting lighting, or refining composition, every edit is aimed at captivating the viewer and sparking their curiosity about the microworld.
